About Montessori

The Montessori method of education was developed by an Italian physician and educator, Dr Maria Montessori.

Montessori has the child’s learning, alongside personal interests at heart. Teaching methods are designed around a child-directed approach. Montessori settings create a customised environment crafted to each child’s unique abilities, interests, and learning styles; this is known as “hands on” learning. The mixed-age settings allow children to learn from one another as they progress through their early years.
